The Wonderful World of Harry Potter

The Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling is a beloved classic!  The series follows the young Harry Potter and his friends as they grow up at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and try to thwart the plans of dark wizards threatening their world.  The books have a world-wide audience and excited a generation to read again!  Some children find the thickness of the books daunting, and others with reading issues would love to get into the stories but struggle with the words and sheer volume of words.  If you have a child who falls into this camp look nor further than the Azalea Library system to solve this problem for you!  Our library system is home to the Audiobook version of these stories and they are simply delightful!  Narrated by the legendary English actor Jim Dale, who has earned Grammy nominations for this series.  The way he uses his voice to bring each individual character to life is astounding!  You truly forget it is one person doing the storytelling.   These would be great listens for children who want to get in on the magic of the world of Harry Potter and not sit and actually read through the books.  These audiobooks bring the story to life in their imaginations!  They are great for road trips, or to listen to while coloring, putting together a puzzle, or even to try and follow along in the actual books.  These audiobooks would make a great addition to your family road trip or to listen to during the upcoming holiday season!
