Time to Roar by Olivia A. Cole is a story about raising your voice, at the right time! Sasha loves the meadow she lives in. She loves so many things about it, until one day great yellow beasts come in to tear it up. Sasha gets angry! She is ready to roar and to save her meadow. But her friends tell her not to roar, that they will try some other things first. Bird tries singing sweetly to the yellow beasts, rabbit tried thumping, deer tried jumping and nothing worked! They all decided to hide! Sasha stood there looking at her meadow being torn apart and she thinks her roar will be louder than the yellow beasts.
Sasha runs down the hill knowing what has to be done! "Sometimes a bear has to raise her voice!"

As a family we loved this book and the message it sends. Sometimes you have to raise your voice to stand up for things that you think are right or things that you love! Sometimes you can be a sweet singing birdie but sometimes you need to roar!
