The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey is a superb book that can be enjoyed together with the family. It may be geared towards older children, but can be appreciated by all. The book features four friends, Reynie, Kate, Sticky, and Constance who call themselves the Mysterious Benedict Society. The story begins when the children set out to visit Mr. Benedict, who is planning to send them on an international treasure hunt to test their skills. However, before leaving they get a message from Rhonda warning them not to come. They leave anyway, and upon arrival discoverer that one of their friends and Mr. Benedict have been kidnaped by the evil Mr. Curtain. Nevertheless, Mr. Benedict had been planning a series of clues and riddles leading the children across continents and testing their cleverness once again. Yet Mr. Curtain wants some valuable information and if not provided to him, Mr. Benedict and Number Two will be in grave danger. The children decide that they will follow the clues and save Mr. Benedict in the process. Follow along as the children lead you on a mysterious path of twists and turns that will lead you on an epic adventure!
