Book Review The Locket By Richard Paul Evans As with most of Richard Paul Evans’ books, this book is a story of redemption, with important life lessons on faith and forgiveness. Michael Keddington took good care of his sick mother until she passed away from cancer. He did all he could for her including leaving his college education behind so he could care for her. After her death, he finds employment at a nursing home nearby, called The Arcadia. It is here that he befriends an elderly woman, Esther, who is mourning the loss of a lost love many years ago. Michael is also facing challenges with his one true love, Faye. While Michael is working at the nursing home and engaging with the patients, he is falsely accused of abusing one of the patients there. It is during these difficult days, that he learns important life lessons about faith and forgiveness and what it really means to love someone. Esther gifts Michael with a locket that is very important to her, a symbol of lost opportunity now becomes Michael’s second chance. Will Michael be falsely accused of the heinous crime?
