The How do Dinosaurs series is a great one for children of all ages. Whether your child is a dino lover who knows each time age and name of the many dinos or just thinks they are funny, they will enjoy the whimsy of the story. The illustrations are so detailed and show a large dinosaur in the place of a child. Inside the front and back cover the author
has illustrated dinosaurs from the book and tells their proper scientific names. The books teach lessons or show scenes where you can talk with your child while reading
about, "Is that how we act?" or "Should the dino do that?" These books were instant classics and they have at least 14 books in the series that cover a wide range of topicsÂ
from going to school, to eating their food. My favorite is the How Do Dinosaurs Say I Love You!
My son has always loved the How do Dinosaurs Eat their Food; He loves to say "No Dinosaur" when he flips his spaghetti high into the air. You can even read these along with a lesson on learning about the dinosaurs and the world when they lived.
Your local library system has many of these books and would be a great addition to your summer reading lists.Â
